Blimey, what a journey it’s been.
Firstly, a huge thank-you is in order for two indispensable people who made all of this possible. Starting with Martin, my exceptional colleague at The Forge Partnership, who has been intricately involved in every step of this journey. Your steadfast support was invaluable when navigating the complexities of ISO 27001. As for Grant, our expert consultant, your guidance was critical in making sense of the intricacies that this certification involves.
So, you may be wondering what went into this. Well, as a team, we meticulously drafted, reviewed, and implemented over 100 policies, procedures, and processes. Each piece had to fit perfectly, propelling the business forward without any constraints.
Achieving ISO 27001 is no small feat; it’s not something you just stumble upon. It’s a testament to a commitment to information security, a commitment that I hold dear. This isn’t just ticking off a box; it’s about elevating how we do business from the ground up, securely and robustly.
The experience prompted not only personal reflection but also collective soul-searching. It’s encouraged me to aim higher and made us all recognise the areas we can improve in. I’ve emerged from this stronger, wiser, and more resilient, and I know we’ve all grown as a result.
And the cherry on top? I’ve genuinely enjoyed every step of this challenging yet rewarding journey, which has permeated into every avenue I work.
